PREPARING FOR YOUR CLAIM

preparing for your claim

1. REVIEW YOUR PLAN

  • Confirm the benefits included in your plan
  • Review the applicable limits for each benefit and any terms and conditions that may apply
  • Have your Plan Number handy to begin the filing process

2. GATHER DOCUMENTS

Look for all the documents that support your claim. These can be receipts, official reports, medical records, photos, or anything else that will help our examiners understand your particular situation.

FILING YOUR CLAIM

filing your claim

1. TELL US WHAT HAPPENED

Our online simple-stepped form will help you gather the Who, What, When, and How of your claim quickly. The more information you provide at filing, the easier it will be for an examiner to adjudicate your claim quickly.

2. UPLOAD EVIDENCE

We cannot review a claim without documentation. You can provide these documents while filing or come back any time to add more evidence that helps show us what happened or the costs you incurred.

REVIEWING YOUR CLAIM

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY CLAIM?

After you submit documentation, our claims team will carefully review all the details and associated evidence.

You will receive email or text updates throughout the process to know exactly where your claim is in our review.

What we will do:

1. Send confirmation information

You’ll receive an email confirming receipt of your claim. This includes your claim number, which you can use to come back and check your claim status any time.

2. Make sure everything is accounted for

If you needed to collect any additional information, you can come back and upload it to your claim using our Existing Claim page.

3. Request any additional documentation

Our examiners will determine if there are any outstanding items needed after their initial review. If so, you’ll receive an email explaining what we are missing.

4. Send reimbursement to your chosen method of payment

If your claim is approved, you’ll receive payment to your chosen payment method (remember, electronic methods are faster). If your claim is denied but you have additional evidence to provide, simply upload it to your claim and we will review.
