On June 12, 2016, a gunman attacked a nightclub in Orlando resulting in many deaths and injuries. Our sympathies go out to those who have been impacted by this terrible violence.

This attack became a known event on June 13, 2016. Customers who purchased their travel insurance policy prior to that date may be eligible for coverage under their trip cancellation or trip interruption benefits, as described below.

Allianz Travel Insurance may provide coverage for trip cancellation and interruption when there is a terrorist event at the customer's U.S. destination within 30 days of the day they are scheduled to arrive. Customers who have this coverage included in their policy and are scheduled to arrive in Orlando within 30 days of the attacks may cancel their trip and may receive payment for their non-refundable trip costs.

For customers who are already in Orlando and wish to return early, Allianz Travel Insurance may provide reimbursement for their unused prepaid expenses and cover additional transportation costs for them to get home early, up to their trip interruption limit of liability. Affected customers should review their policy to determine their benefits and for details about their coverage.
