The Travelers Protection Plan

The Travelers Protection Plan is flexible and affordable travel insurance for both international and domestic travelers that includes only post-departure benefits. The Travelers Protection Plan includes emergency medical benefits, as well as benefits for trip delays, missed connections and lost, stolen or damaged baggage. Designed for travelers with few pre-paid expenses, this low-cost plan does not include trip cancellation or trip interruption benefits.

Benefits

Emergency Medical - up to $50,000 for Accidents and $50,000 for Illness
Provides benefits for losses due to covered medical and dental emergencies that occur during your trip. There is a $750 maximum for all covered dental expenses.

Emergency Medical Transportation - up to $250,000
Provides medically necessary transportation to the nearest hospital or appropriate facility following a covered illness or injury during your trip.

Baggage Loss/Damage - up to $2,000 ($50 deductible/$500 limit per article)
Covers loss, damage or theft of baggage and personal effects. There will be a combined Maximum Benefit limit shown on the Confirmation of Coverage for the following: jewelry; watches; articles consisting in whole or in part of silver, gold or platinum; furs; articles trimmed with or made mostly of fur; personal computers, cameras and their accessories and related equipment.

Baggage Delay - up to $750
Reimburses the reasonable additional purchase of essential items during your trip if your baggage is delayed or misdirected by a common carrier for 24 hours or more. Receipts for emergency purchases are required.

Trip Delay - up to $1,000
Reimburses you for additional accommodation/travel expenses and lost prepaid expenses due to a covered departure delay of six or more hours.

Missed Connection - up to $1,000 (Daily Limit $200)
Reimburses you for additional transportation, accommodation and meal expenses, as well as the nonrefundable payments for the unused portion of your cruise, if you miss your cruise ship departure because of the cancellation or delay of all scheduled flights due to inclement weather.

Supplier/Itinerary Change - up to $500
Reimburses you for pre-paid event/activity expenses when a cruise or tour supplier changes your covered trip itinerary, preventing you from participating in that event or activity.

Accidental Death or Dismemberment - up to $10,000
Pays benefits for losses when you, as a result of an accidental injury occurring during the covered trip, sustain a covered loss of life, sight, hands or feet.

Repatriation of Remains - up to $250,000
Pays the reasonable covered expenses incurred to return your body to your primary residence if you die during the covered trip.
