Puerto Ricans take Christmastime very seriously—it starts on Christmas Eve, ends with a HUGE 4-day street festival on the last days of January and is filled with loud traditions, delicious food and most importantly boozy drinks. The most celebrated is “Coquito”, a tropical take on Egg Nog with coconut and cinnamon flavors. As the holiday, “Coquito” is meant to be shared with others. It is customary for families to serve the cocktail in festive bottles and give them as gifts to friends, family and co-workers during the holidays. Try out this big batch recipe and enjoy with all of your friends!
Ingredients:
In a big blender, beat egg yolks and rum for approx. 1 min. Add the rest of the ingredients until well combined. Refrigerate for about an hour and serve.
