Definition: You require assistance for a travel-related issue or question. Travel insurance can provide 24/7 telephone assistance via a concierge specialist for a wide range of topics, including entertainment and event planning (e.g., dining reservations and golf tee times), travel assistance (e.g., currency exchange rate information), and transportation and accommodations (e.g., translation service referrals and arrangements). You will need to be a valid policyholder and will be asked to share your name and Plan Number once reaching the hotline coordinator. You will be responsible for any concierge-related charges (e.g., if your dinner reservation requires a deposit). (Note: to reach a concierge specialist call the number printed on your policy letter of confirmation. You may also reach the hotline at 1-800-654-1908 when in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands or 1-804-281-5700 collect).
Example: You’re traveling to San Diego to surprise your older sister for her birthday — the big 5-0. When you arrive, your younger sister asks what you’ve planned for tomorrow’s celebration. “What?” you say. “I thought you were making the reservations!” Uh-oh.
That’s when you call the Concierge services included in your Allianz Travel Insurance plan. Our Concierge associates are available 24-7 to help with all kinds of requests, from the routine to the extraordinary. As soon as you explain the situation, your Concierge associate starts making calls on your behalf. She’s able to book a private room at a high-end seaside restaurant in La Jolla. She asks the bartender to invent a special cocktail just for your sister. She even finds a baker to make a stunning three-tier cake. And your sister enjoys a fabulous 50th.
