Kolkata Comic Con, Kolkata, India  

February 22-23

“Cosplay brings people together, no matter who you are,” writes Comic Con India. With events across the nation throughout 2025, Comic Con India unites lovers of comics, TV and movies across the nation. One of the earliest events this year is Kolkata Comic Con presented by Cruncy Roll. 

If you have an idea for a killer cosplay, enter the Indian Championships of Cosplay Qualifier in Kolkata! Your cosplay skills will be judged based on needlework, armor and FX.

While you’re in town: View the vast collection of the Indian Museum. Admire the architecture of Birla Mandir Hindu temple. Stroll through the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden.

Emerald City Comic Con, Seattle, Washington

March 6 – 9

Emerald City Comic Con is known to be family-friendly and urges guests to bring their “little superheroes.” Kids under six can visit for free and can of course dress up and join the cosplay fun. Cosplayers are urged to choose family-friendly costumes that avoid inappropriate exposure. 

“The most important thing to keep in mind is that cosplay is for EVERYONE,” writes Emerald City. “‘Accuracy’ is only relevant for cosplay competitions…and even then, it’s about craftsmanship of the costume itself, not the physical traits of the cosplayer wearing it. You can cosplay ANY character you love!”

While you’re in town: Aviation lovers will enjoy the Museum of Flight. View beautiful gardens and sculptures at Chihuly Garden and Glass. Take in the view from the top of the Space Needle.

Galaxy Con Richmond, Virginia  

March 27-30

Lovers of gaming, anime and more descend on the capital of Virginia every year for the four-day Galaxy Con. This is one of the best events for meeting live action and voice actors from some your favorite movies and TV series. Top celebrities include “Weird Al” Yankovic, Will Shatner of Captain Kirk fame and Clark Gregg, who lovers of the Avengers will know as Agent Phil Coulson.

While you’re in town: See incredible flora at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. View the collection at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, one of the nation’s top museums. Take a trolley tour of downtown and beyond.

Supanova Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia

March 29 – 30 and April 12-13

Supanova comic con hosts conventions throughout Australia. Fans of Attack on Titan should come to the Melbourne comic con to grab an autograph from series stars Trina Nishimura and Bryce Papenbrook. Lloyd Owen, who plays Elendil in The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series, will also make an appearance. More than 137,000 attendees are expected at Supanova events in 2025. 

While you’re in town: Learn about Aboriginal culture at Koorie Cultural Trust. Take in sea views at Saint Kilda. Buy a souvenir at Queen Victoria Market, the largest outdoor market in the Southern Hemisphere. 

Heroes Comic Con Finland, Helsinki, Finland  

May 9-11

Visit the capital of Finland for the city’s second annual comic con. “Get ready to dive into activities inspired by your favorite TV shows and movies, meet and greet popular actors, comic artists, and digital creators” writes heroescomicconfinland.

Fans of Vampire Diaries line up for your chance to meet Ian Somerhalder, famed for his role as Damon Salvatore on the cult favorite series. Other guests and presenters to be announced later in 2025. 

While you’re in town: Tour the UNESCO World Heritage site Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. Relax at Uusi Sauna. Grab a bite at Old Market Hall.

Sandiego Comic Con, Sandiego, California

July 24-27

Held annually since 1970, Sandiego Comic Con is known as one of the two largest conventions of its kind in the U.S. Annually, the convention attracts as many as 130,000 lovers of comics, animation, Sci-Fi and fantasy writing for TV and books and more. 

While you’re in town: Check out pint-sized pygmy hippos at Sandiego Zoo. Take a cruise of Sandiego Harbor. Swim in the calm waters of La Jolla Cove.
